Culinary Productions hosted their "Midsummer Night's Dream" gourmet dinner night and silent auction to benefit SSA and their application for 501c3 status for the Escape Community Art Center on July 22, 2011. The silent auction and door prize raffle raised $890 and now the application can be processed! SSA would like to thank CPI and their sponsors Nationwide Tents "N" Events, 5Eleven Palafox, Bond Photographics, Pony Parties of Pensacola, Southern Gardens Florist, Gulf Coast Entertainment App, and Pixie Productions for putting on an amazing night of culinary and visual art, along with the lively sounds of instrumental jazz trio The 18 String Army & Chris Countryman. The highlight of the night was a visit from mystical creature "Tiny Tim" the unicorn and 7 pixies fluttering around!
SSA would especially like to thank the silent auction donors: artists Austin Garcia & Lum Derigo, SSA President Shane Kuhlman, Ashley Roberts with Rogue Events/Wines for Humanity, & Stephanie Tilley of Emerald Coast Smiles By Design, as well as the door prize raffle donors Dawn Gaines-Taylor of RuSik & Sik Chix, Italy's Finest Pizzeria, Susan's Beauty Salon, World Gym/Sun Shack Tanning, Demetria Bailey LMT, Jeanette Schultz/Lady Adornment Jewelry, Flowerama, and Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre.
The Escape Community Art Center is a non-profit organization that promotes awareness of mental health issues and provides mental health resources to artists, dancers, performers, musicians, and other members of the community to assist in the psychological and professional well-being of both the artistic community and local community at large.

Website Preview!
This is a preview of the new website we're working on for Escape Community Art Center! This is the founding officers page, where we showcase the people who are working hard to make the Escape Community Art Center a reality. Leave any comments you have about what you would like to see on the site, and be sure to contact us if you're interested in getting involved in this project! The Escape Community Art Center will fill a much-needed service in Pensacola by providing art classes, a performace and gallery space, and mental health education and services to those in the community.
Welcome to the Escape Community Art Center Blog!
After months of preparation and hours of dedication from our founding officers, our 501c3 Application is almost complete! We plan on having it finished and sent in within the next week or so! All we are waiting on is the financial section and we currently have a professional looking it over.
This feels like such a great accomplishment, but it is only the first step in this long journey to turning Escape into reality! Stay tuned for news and updates and more information on how you can join and be a part of this team!
